I think that in one of the previous posts I wrote that I’m not completely satisfied with the spring/summer 2016 edition of Vogue Hommes, there’s not enough glamour and beauty for my taste, and for this reason I’m here, writing a throwback post to celebrate one of the magazine’s best covers of the past years. I’m referring to the spring/summer 2012 cover, lensed by photographer David Sims, who connected with leading model Sean O’Pry to deliver a striking image. Providing with quite an essential picture, the lensman perfectly captured the theme of the issue, which was Obsession and God knows if Sean is one of my “obsessions of beauty”. Captured in a glowing setting, the American stunner is styled by Beat Bolliger, who assembled an optical white wardrobe, which adds a further dose of brightness to the image. Looking straight in the camera, providing his signature killer gaze, there’s no doubt that Sean is the quintessence of masculine beauty. //Hair by Paul Hanlon. Makeup by Lotten Holmqvist.
