Balmain - Spring/Summer 2017
Balmain – Spring/Summer 2017

I have to say that I’m pretty impressed by the spring/summer 2017 menswear collection designed by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain. The first aspect I love the most about the collection is the casting of models. On the Parisian runway we saw so much beauty in different forms, and this is alway a pleasure for the eyes. Talking about the clothes presented during Paris Fashion Week, I have to say that I love the bright colors and the fluid silhouettes unveiled by Rousteing with this new collection. Certainly the spring/summer 2017 lineup isn’t innovative, in terms of new concepts, new ideas etc; it’s basically a development of the designer’s powerful and fearless aesthetic, but I have to say that this time the collection looks really strong and solid. It’s certainly an offering for fearless and confident boys, who are not afraid to walk in the city decked out in sparkling jackets and opulent caftans, but this is what Balmain’s direction is at the moment and I have to say that it really looks good this season.
